In Japan a "utage", it is a group of friends that meets to party. This evening there everything is allowed, we sing and dance, we enjoy ourselves there.
In this work I wanted to tell a "utage": we sing it a Japanese song, followed by a fast, stressed and becoming dance, in the drunkenness of the feast, completely disrupted.
It is a  funny solo, to play without moderation!

 This work integrates several very opposite characters trying to describe the feelings of the composer confronted with the mixture of two really different cultures. It starts in an atmosphere influenced by Zen. One can also recognize rhythms from the Japanese drums (wadaiko) as well as binary rhythms influenced by the occident.

The ratchenitza is a Bulgarian traditional dance, practised during the marriages. In Bulgaria, it is of tradition that both families offer themselves mutually presents during this ceremony. The ratchenitza dedicates this particular moment: it is necessary to dance to be able to offer and receive presents.
