24 studies for violin, Volume 2, Studies 13 to 24

These pieces are written for solo violin, but they can also be played as duos. The second voice underlines either the rhythmic structure or adds a melodic line. It can be adapted (octaving and/or ignoring repeated notes) freely for any instrument.

A second violin or vibraphone are however the most suitable. A good sense of rhythm is the precondition for a clean and precise technique. Almost all of these studies are written in asymmetric measures.

The permanent change of binary and ternary figures requires a special concentration on the regularity of small note values.

The dynamics are free . A '5' as fingering means stretching. X = without precise pitch.
